EMMA WOOD, M.A., received a masters degree in clinical psychology from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL.  She is currently working towards her doctorate in clinical psychology also at Midwestern. She received her bachelor's degree from Wheaton College in Interdisciplinary Studies: Art, Music and Psychology, and believes that creativity and compassion are essential to the healing process. Emma is an advocate for mentally ill individuals and was recently awarded the Midwestern University Behavioral Medicine Program Humanitarian Award. She will be completing a therapy practicum under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Francis, O.P. through July 2009.  Prior to joining the Center, she completed a testing practicum at Trinity Services, Inc. and has worked in a variety of capacities with the severely mentally ill using the creative arts and music therapy.

KRISTI WRIGHT, M.A., L.P.C., is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Wheaton College where she also received her master’s degree in clinical psychology. She will be completing an advanced therapy practicum under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Francis, O.P. through August 2009. Kristi has worked with children of divorce and abuse, families in need of protective services, and adult victims of domestic violence.  Her therapeutic style could best be called integrative, having been influenced by the contemporary psychodynamic schools. Kristi believes that many people seek out therapeutic help due to relational issues. Fortunately, therapy can provide a new experience of relationship by aiding in the breaking of unhelpful patterns and offering other, healthier forms of relating. She recently completed a counseling practicum at the Wheaton College Counseling Center.
