Educational Services at the Central DuPage Pastoral Counseling
Center evolved out of our interest in healing and growth for
individuals within a Christian framework. It is important to
us that Educational Services be a healing presence at the Center
for people who need counseling services as well as for those
who seek to educate themselves solely as a preventative measure. WORKSHOPS:We offer several workshops throughout the year on a re-occurring basis. These include Couple Communication 1, Couple Communication 2, and the Pre-Marriage Workshop. The dates that these workshops are offered along with a description of each course can be found at Upcoming Events! Typically, the Center presents other educational opportunities
during the course of a year as well. These
workshops and seminars often deal with a particular subject or provide a forum
for growth by combining creativity and spirituality. All scheduled workshops

Educational Opportunities for Affiliate ChurchesOver twenty Catholic and Protestant parishes and churches support the Center and are considered affiliates of the Center. Members of those churches receive a discount on all of our educational events. In addition, the Center's professional staff provide in-house workshops for groups within the affiliate churches, some at no cost. Together, the professional counseling staff at the Center offer over 100 topics which are available for such in-house presentations and workshops. The dates, times, number of sessions and other details of each workshop can be tailor made to fit the needs of the hosting organization. For pastors and lay pastoral care leaders (such as Stephen Ministers), the Center provides continuing educational opportunities which can enable them to better minister to and care for, their congregations.
