A Four-Session Workshop for Couples seeking greater Intimacy and Improved Ability to Resolve Conflict DATE: Thursdays, April 3, 10, 24 and May 1, 2008 TIME: 6:30-8.45 p.m. COST: $240.00 per couple ($220.00 per couple for members of Center-affiliated churches)** PLACE: Central DuPage Pastoral Counseling Center, 507A Thornhill Drive, Carol Stream IL 60188 Pre-registration is required and can be made
by calling the Center at 630-752-9750. Couples need to communicate regularly about the daily maintenance aspects of their lives while also balancing that with the need for romantic communication. Because communication is the means by which relationships are formed, a couple can often achieve greater individual satisfaction with the relationship by becoming more deliberate in the way they communicate with each other. This workshop is designed to provide couples with practical skills and techniques for improving communication that can easily be assimilated into everyday living. As a participant, you will learn how to talk about sensitive issues, how to say what you think, feel or want without blaming or attacking and how to get beyond ordinary chitchat and share the deeper meaning of life. Each of the four sessions will deal with a different topic: o Giving clear
messages Dr. James A. Natter will engage participants by providing the group with a variety of experiences, discussions and exercises. You will also be asked to work at home on the skills between each of the four sessions. Advance registration and payment are required by March 25, 2008. Dr. Natter is the Executive Director and a staff counselor at the Central DuPage Pastoral Counseling Center. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and a certified mediator. He has been a practicing clinical psychologist since 1992. To register for this workshop, please call the Center: 630-752-9750, ext. 10.
