Jenny Gresko, M.A., L.C.P.C., counsels a couple The Central DuPage Pastoral Counseling Center is devoted to providing comprehensive professional counseling services to the public in an atmosphere of love and understanding. Each of our counseling staff have advanced degrees in behavioral science and have received theological training either formally by attending seminary, or through a religious studies program. Several staff hold divinity degrees and two are ordained clergy. Professionally, our therapists are referred to as "pastoral counselors" because of this integration of psychology and theology in their training. We believe the dual training offers a more comprehensive approach to therapy, as the inter-dependence of mind, body and spirit is honored in treating the whole individual. As part of the Center's commitment to quality counseling services, staff counselors receive weekly supervision with a psychologist or a psychiatrist who are not affiliated with the Center in any way except in this capacity. Supervision is one of the safeguards we use to maintain high ethical standards and quality in the services we provide. In the course of counseling, your faith experience and religious values will be taken seriously as genuine expressions of your self. The counselor however, is not your spiritual advisor -- that is the function of your pastor if you have one. Further, while the spiritual aspect of client's life is respected, there is no particular spiritual agenda imposed in the therapy. Counselors at the Central DuPage Pastoral Counseling Center
hold expertise in a variety of areas including art therapy, licensed
clinical psychology, certified addictions counseling, working
with children and adolescents, Imago Relationship Therapy, stress
management, American Sign Language (TTY available, see Contact
Us), grief counseling, ADD/ADHD Assessment and
counseling, body image
issues, and clinical hypnosis. 507A Thornhill Drive ~ Carol Stream, Illinois 60188 ~ (630) 752-9750 |
